We are on a mission to change that.

How We Work

We focus our work on serving low-income pet-owners and pets within rural Southwest Virginia.
We partner with local and national organizations for support and to serve this need.

See Our Financials

We know it is important to know that your donation is making an impact.
We believe transparency is paramount and strive to demonstrate how donations are allocated.

In 2021, our Outreach services nearly doubled in demand. Pet food, supplies, and vaccines helped prevent many pets from being given up, allowing owners to concentrate on basic needs such as food, housing, transportation, and medical care. Despite a reduction in donations this year, we were able to meet the increased demand due to In Kind Donations of pet food and supplies.

Our Programs

Spay/Neuter Assistance

We provide financial assistance for pets to be altered and vaccinated. Pets are healthier and unwanted litters are prevented, reducing surrender to our already over-crowded local animal shelter.

Outreach

We offer food and supplies to help pet-owners care for their pets, allowing them to concentrate on other critical needs. We problem-solve with our families and offer ways to keep their pets happy, healthy, and forever in their own home.

Veterinary Assistance

Urgent veterinary care for a pet can cause a significant financial burden on pet-owners living on a limited income. We offer low-income pet-owners the help they need, preventing the heart-breaking decision of having to give up a pet or allowing any unnecessary suffering.
